Prairie Plein Air Artists

August 3^rd (Tuesday) Capture the Memory- Railroad Bridge/Missouri River- West End of Bismarck State College Campus-Bismarck. 6 to 8:30PM. The gravel parking lot overlooking the Missouri River can be accessed by taking either Canary Ave or Edward Ave off of Schafer St and driving past the Community Bowl, the roads join at the west end forming a loop. Park in the gravel lot at the southwest corner of the loop, there are views, trails etc.

. July 28^th-(Wednesday) Strinden Farm West of Mandan, 2420 Co Rd 139a, Mandan. Take the Sunset Drive Exit 152 north to the Old Red Trail. Take Old Red Trail west and continue driving you will leave the residential area. Drive past the 56^th Ave intersection. In a very short distance you will see a road to the left (south) that goes through a tunnel under the interstate. The farm is on the other end of the tunnel.

July 20^th(Tuesday)- Sertoma Park, Riverside Park Road, Meet by Shelter #2 on the west end of the park-6:00PM – 8:30PM – NOTE! The After-School Art Club @Theo is invited to join us.

July 13th (Tuesday) – McDowell Dam Park, 1951 93^rd St. NE, East of Bismarck just past the Apple Creek Country Club, Meet at the far north (last) parking lot. 6:00PM to 8:30PM

The home in south Bismarck is set back off the road to the west in the trees on a gravel driveway. They have 7 acres of Missouri River bottom land with mature trees. The property is nicely landscaped, flowers and trees abound.  Paint from 6:00PM to 8:30PM

June 30^th (Wednesday)-The Pebble Creek Golf Course, Under the Bridge on East Century Ave, Bismarck- 6:00PM to 8:30PM- Parking lot and access is on the northwest side of the bridge on East Century.

June 23rd (Wednesday) – Chief Lookings Village Park/Pioneer Park Overlook, 2023 Burnt Boat Drive, Bismarck.  – 6:00PM to 8:30PM . A great vista of the Missouri River valley!

We will be painting at the Cross Ranch State Park from 9:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday June 19th, 2021. Plan to meet in the visitor parking lot at 9:00AM to discuss where we will paint. A State Park pass is required.

The second paint out of the season will take place June 9th, 2021 (Wednesday) at Ft Lincoln State Park south of Mandan. Meet in the visitors center parking at 6:00PM and we will paint till 8:30PM. You will need a park pass.

The 2021 Paint Out Season for Prairie Plein Air Artists Group will begin June 6th, 2021 at FT Mandan State Park west of Washburn, ND. The park is approximately 2 miles west of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive center. We plan to paint on Sunday June 6th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. A great place to paint on the Missouri River bottoms!
