Prairie Plein Air Artists

July 28^th (Tuesday)– Sertoma Park, Riverside Park Road, Meet by Shelter #2 on the west end of the park-6:00PM – 8:30PM – NOTE! The After-School Art Club @Theo is planning to join us and shadow PPAA members on this paint out!!

A paint out will be held at St Mary’s Church in downtown Bismarck at 806 East Broadway from 6:00PM to 8:30PM. Artists can park across the seat to the south in the old Pizza Hut parking lot as well as paint from there.

July 14^th (Tuesday) Dave and Deb Larson, 3600 England St, Bismarck, ND. The home in south Bismarck is set back off the road to the west in the trees on a gravel driveway. They have 7 acres of Missouri River bottom land with mature trees. The property is nicely landscaped, flowers and trees abound.  Paint from 6:00PM to 8:30PM

Paint Out -June 30^th (Tuesday)-The Pebble Creek Golf Course, Under the Bridge on East Century Ave, Bismarck- 6:00PM to 8:30PM- Parking lot and access is on the northwest side of the bridge on East Century.

Next week’s paint out June 24^th Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:30pm will be held at “Chief Lookings Village Park/Pioneer Park Overlook” which is on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River valley. The address is 2023 Burnt Boat Drive, Bismarck. Note: The park entrance is on the south side of the road across from the Hub International parking lot before you go down the hill to Pioneer Park. Drive in to the second parking area. This is a magnificent view , a vista of the Missouri River Valley!!

This next week we are scheduled to paint at Ft Lincoln State Park, 4480 Fort Lincoln Rd, Mandan from 6:00PM to 8:30PM on Tuesday June 16th. Please meet in the visitor center parking lot and we will branch out from there to paint. The weather forecast suggests it may be a good night for clouds !!! You will need to have a State Park pass.

June 7th-14th, 2020- As part of our soft start due to the pandemic, our second week of season is a challenge to members to “Paint Where You Want”. If you have a favorite spot or want to try a new spot take time this week to paint where you want!

The 2020 season begins! In light of the pandemic issues, rather then gathering as a group this week, we challenge you to paint your own backyard! A good way to warm up for the season with no pressure! Do as many as you wish. We will work on a way to share these at a later time. Remember we have a show planned for July 21st!!

The Tarryl Gabel and Prairie Plein Air Artists Shows scheduled for 3-31 to 4-25, and the Tarryl Gabel plein air workshop scheduled for 4-4 at Bismarck Arts and Galleries Association are being cancelled in light of the current and ongoing health crisis.
