From the light on Hi Way 83 at the North Bismarck Walmart drive 8.6 miles north on 83. Turn east (right) on to Cattle Drive between Mile Markers 99 & 100. Drive east until you reach Sam’s Ranch home about 1 ½ miles where we will meet at 6:00PM. We can paint the home ranch area or go to the nearby Circle C Ministries area to paint. Paint until 8:30PM.

Artist’s are invited to participate in a urban paint out at 601 N 4th St, Bismarck. Both the church and the mansion offer unique architectural features in a nice setting with mature trees! We plan to paint from 6:00PM to 8:30PM.
June 26th, 2019 Wednesday from 5:30PM to 8:00PM (closing) PPAA will have a paint out at Dakota Zoo in Sertoma Park at 602 Riverside Park Road.
The First Presbyterian Church is located at 214 East Thayer in downtown Bismarck. Artist’s can park in the church parking lot and paint anywhere around the church/street. The paint out runs from 6:00PM to 8:30PM. If you like painting city, urban/street scenes this is a good location!
Saturday June 15th PPAA will have a paint out from 10:00AM to 4:00PM at Cross Ranch State Park, 1403 River Road, Center, ND 58531. The 29th Annual Missouri River Bluegrass festival will be going on simultaneously. Artists are not required to enter the festival/stage area but can paint anywhere in the park. Directions can be found by going to the Calendar on this website.
Artists are invited to come to Medora on Tuesday. You may paint as you wish on Tuesday. We will plan to meet at 7:30PM Central Time at Boots Bar & Grill in Medora for supper and to discuss our plans for painting on Wednesday. Artists are free to paint anywhere they choose, including Theodore Roosevelt National Park. NOTE: Each person is responsible for arranging for his/her own lodging for Tuesday night. Our plan will be to paint various locations around Medora, or in the Park on Wednesday, and return home on Weds evening. We will be notifying the Badlands Art Association to invite them to paint as well.
Paint out at Ft Lincoln State Park, 4480 Fort Lincoln Rd, Mandan. Meet in the visitors center parking lot at 6:00PM. We will paint until 8:30PM. A state park pass is needed.
Paint Out- Ft Mandan, Washburn,ND
Artists are invited by the park to paint between 11:00AM and 5:00PM on either or both days. Muzzle loader reenactors may be at nearby Fahlgren Grove on Saturday, shooting and doing historic demonstrations. Artists who attend this paint out are invited to enter their works in a Prairie Plein Air Artists show to be held at Fort Mandan from July 13th to October 15th! You are welcome to brown bag it or go to Washburn for lunch if you chose to stay either day. Ft Mandan is approximately 2 miles west of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Washburn.
The Prairie Plein Air Artists group are having a Paint Out on campus as part of the spring Art Quest program. Karen Bakke will facilitate the event. Gather at Lea Hall to start at 12:00 noon, paint till 3:30PM then gather for final critique by Karen at 4:00PM.
In conjunction with Bismarck State Colleges Spring Art Quest progam, PPAA member artists are having a show called “Capturing the Moment”. It is being held at the Gannon Gallery (2nd floor of the Lea Hall on campus). A reception will be held Monday April 1st from 4-6PM.
