PPAA members will paint on the Capitol grounds in conjunction with the BAGA Capital A’Fair event on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Members plan to paint on the east side of the Capitol Mall, in the general area in front of the State Library and Heritage Center from 9:00AM to 12:00 noon each day.

Railroad Bridge Paint Out, June 26, 2018
The railroad bridge that spans the Missouri River between Bismarck and Mandan ND is scheduled to be taken down. The Prairie Plein Air Artist deemed it appropriate to paint this landmark for posterity. Below are some results of a wonderful evening of painting along the mighty Missouri river

Paint Out-July 24th Tuesday, Sweet Briar Dam.Location is 21 miles west of Mandan on Interstate 94. Take exit #134 and continue north to the second right turn. Continue to the boat ramp parking lot to meet at 6:00pm. It is about 30 minutes from Mandan so allow sufficient time.

Prairie Plein Air Artists Exhibit Open July 2018
The Prairie Plein Air Artists have an exhibit on display at Ft Mandan State Park two miles west of Washburn, ND. The exhibit of paintings done at Ft Mandan runs from July 14th to October 15th, 2018.

July 17, 2018-Eagle Park/Double Ditch Indian Village
Paint Out – July 17th, Eagle Park/Double Ditch Indian Village. The Eagle park entrance is located nine miles north of Pioneer Park on Highway 1804, (the South Central Water District building shares the park entrance). Double Ditch is just another half mile on Hi Way 1804. Plan to meet at the Double Ditch parking lot at 6:00PM. You can paint at either location.

The Larson’s in south Bismarck have 7 acres of Missouri River bottom land , nicely landscaped, flowers and trees abound. Artists are welcome anytime between 9:00AM & 3:00PM. Feel free to make a day of it and bring a lunch! Take Washington St south, west on Burleigh Ave and south on England.
